A shared, open, universal ledger designed to record metadata and ownership information for digital creative assets

Po.et is a shared universal ledger designed to track the world's creative works. By creating an open platform on the Bitcoin blockchain, Po.et aims to create the most institutional, globally verifiable record of digital media assets. This record will be a framework for building smart, interoperable media applications using a shared, standard and extensible metadata format.

After studying the wide impact that blockchain technology could have on data security and interoperability, the BTC Labs team began building distributed ledger solutions for the media and publishing industry. Leveraging its experience with BTC Media’s own pain points — issues like friction in the flow of information, the disparity between content creators and publishers, and the need to authenticate the original creation of a creative asset — it launched Po.et. Since the highly successful launch of the project, creatives and publishing platforms around the world have begun adopting the Po.et platform and technology.
