Bitcoin, specifically the energy of money, the Moon, and rare cosmic materials are Petek's muses. She is a British artist, based in Cape Town, SA and it's her thing to paint with acrylics, meteorites, certified Moon rock and “stardust shavings”, as well as precious metals and minerals from planet Earth – including genuine gold, silver and diamond dust. There where “art meets finance” is where you’ll find her creating abstract, heavily textured, geological landscapes that are inspired by Bitcoin and macro-economics related data charts that prompt you to question the definition of fiat money and sovereignty. Petek's creative energy springs from the topics of monetary history, our perception of value, maths and economics, time & energy. Painting Bitcoin's data charts is her way of capturing "Monetary history in the making" - which we are all witnessing in real time now.
