Antoni Trenchev is the Co-founder and Managing Partner of leading digital assets institution Nexo and the driving force behind the company’s international compliance initiatives. With 10 years of leadership in disruptive and highly technological businesses, Trenchev is a wealth of knowledge in traditional and crypto markets and his commentary is often featured in top-tier financial outlets, including CNBC, Bloomberg, and Financial Times.

Prior to entering the blockchain space in 2013, he studied Finance Law at King’s College London and Humboldt University, Berlin, proceeding to work in the hedge fund industry. He then turned his attention to fintech, becoming Chief Innovations Officer at one of Europe’s major fintech groups.

Trenchev was a member of the founding team that launched the Nexo platform in April 2018, shortly after the company raised $52.5 million during its private token sale. Nexo has since processed more than $80+ billion for over 5 million users across the globe.

Antoni served as a Member of Bulgaria’s Parliament between 2014 and 2017, advocating for progressive legislation to implement blockchain solutions for e-government services, most notably e-voting, and storage of databases in a distributed ledger.
