Mauricio Di Bartolomeo is the Co-Founder & Chief Strategy Officer of Ledn Inc., a financial services company built for Bitcoin & digital assets. Raised in Venezuela, Mauricio experienced firsthand that political instability and inflation can prevent people from accessing the global financial system. In 2014, Mauricio became involved in Bitcoin after seeing his friends and family earn income through bitcoin mining and protecting their wealth by converting it into a censorship-resistant currency.

Mauricio founded Ledn with the promise of offering egalitarian financial products to assist savvy investors, while servicing the unbanked and underbanked in countries like his own around the world. What started as a passion project with a few close colleagues has grown to a Toronto-based company with 100+ employees, offering a full suite of lending, savings and trading products that provide financial services to digital asset holders in over 150 countries. The company underwrote Canada’s first ever bitcoin-backed loan in 2018, and most recently announced the world’s first bitcoin-backed mortgage.
