Kumar Dandapani is a Managing Partner at Cadenza Ventures. Prior to co-founding Cadenza, Kumar ran the venture arm of BitMEX Ventures.  Before that, Kumar was the Head of Data Science at Norwest Venture Partners. Earlier in his career, Kumar was a quant and derivatives trader at Evolution Capital Management and Cornerstone Trading Company. Kumar holds a B.S. in Electrical & Computer Engineering and a B.A. in Social & Decision Sciences from Carnegie Mellon University and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

Cadenza is one of the earliest venture capital firms to start investing in blockchain/decentralized technology back in 2018. Kumar helped lead the earliest funding rounds for FalconX, CoinDCX in India, Rain in the Middle East, Lemon Cash in Argentina, PDAX in the Philippines, and VALR in South Africa. Kumar has continued to invest at the forefront of crypto deploying a significant amount of capital into technologies that have helped revolutionize the industry and now manages over $300M.  In addition, Kumar has brought many institutional players into the space as Cadenza's anchor LP investor is VanEck Associates and other notable LP investors include some of the biggest names in crypto (Solana Capital, Dapper Labs, WorldQuant Ventures, Kraken Ventures, Nexo, TRON, etc.).
