The Bitcoin Renaissance Art Gallery at Bitcoin 2022 is presented by MoonPay
The theme of this year's gallery
is Bitcoin Renaissance.
In 1494, the invention of double-entry accounting ushered in a new era of human prosperity and a golden age of artistic expression followed shortly after. Since 2008, the invention of Bitcoin has inaugurated the latest chapter of human flourishing.
Welcome to The Bitcoin Renaissance.
Bitcoin 2022 is committed to showcasing the top artistic talent displaying bitcoin artwork across a range of mediums including painting, sculptures, multimedia installations, and bitcoin-based digital collectibles.
The gallery will feature 60+ artists and over 10,000 square feet of gallery space in the center of the conference expo hall. The gallery will be open from April 6-9th and feature a live auction for select pieces.
Auctions will take place on a dedicated stage in the art gallery. This stage will also play host to a series of presentations by Late Medieval and Renaissance Historian, Joshua Rosenthal, PhD, as well as many announcements from companies in the Bitcoin ecosystem.

cryptograffiti
“separating money from state is one of the most crucial steps we can take for humanity in an increasingly Orwellian society.” –cryptograffiti It doesn’t get much more “OG” than cryptograffiti in the Bitcoin art space. Few artists have engaged in the level of activism for Bitcoin that cryptograffiti has over his tenure.

Petek
Bitcoin, specifically the energy of money, the Moon, and rare cosmic materials are Petek's muses. She is a British artist, based in Cape Town, SA and it's her thing to paint with acrylics, meteorites, certified Moon rock and “stardust shavings”, as well as precious metals and minerals from planet Earth – including genuine gold, silver and diamond dust. There where “art meets finance” is where you’ll find her creating abstract, heavily textured, geological landscapes that are inspired by Bitcoin and macro-economics related data charts that prompt you to question the definition of fiat money and sovereignty. Petek's creative energy springs from the topics of monetary history, our perception of value, maths and economics, time & energy. Painting Bitcoin's data charts is her way of capturing "Monetary history in the making" - which we are all witnessing in real time now. "Bitcoin is your most peaceful, effective, a-political vote for personal freedom. Vote with your choice of money!"

MEAR ONE
MEAR ONE (Kalen Ockerman) has been at the forefront of LA’s graffiti and mural culture for nearly three decades. He is famous for having pioneered the Melrose graffiti art movement in the late 80s and is considered by many to be LA’s most prolific public muralist. Early on in his career, MEAR gained his recognition for building the bridge between graffiti art and fine art. He was the first graffiti artist to exhibit at the infamous 01 Gallery on Melrose, as well as at 33 1/3 Gallery in Silverlake, where Banksy would later debut his first North American show. MEAR ONE’s work was part of the landmark Art in the Streets 2011 exhibit at the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art. He is perhaps best known for constructing powerful narratives juxtaposing philosophy, ancient mythology and modern politics to inspire an evolved conscious. This interpretation of reality is achieved through balanced dialogue between realism and the supernatural. MEAR ONE helps us envision the sublime spirit of our time – not by escaping reality, but by confronting it head on.
