Below you will find answers to frequently asked questions that we have received over the years of hosting Bitcoin Conferences. We will add more FAQs as we get closer to the event date, so check back often!

General

What time do doors open?

Doors open at 8 a.m. each day. On day one, you'll receive your admission wristband. Keep this wristband on for the entirety of the conference! If you lose your wristband, you'll be required to purchase another ticket in order to enter. If you wish to cut your wristband off (or it falls off), we will provide you with another wristband as long as you physically have the old wristband in hand.

Will Bitcoin 2022 and Sound Money Fest have ASL interpreters on-site?

Sound Money Fest will work to have certified ASL interpreters on-site during lyrical music performances across all stages on April 9th.

What are your COVID-19 protocols?

We do not require attendees to provide any personal medical information. Guests who do not feel well or comfortable attending an event with tens of thousands of people are strongly encouraged to stay home and watch the livestream online.

What is Bitcoin 2022?

Bitcoin 2022 is the world’s largest Bitcoin gathering featuring the top speakers, sponsors and guest list in the industry. The parent company of the conference is BTC, Inc whose mission is “propelling the world towards hyperbitcoinization”

Which "cryptocurrencies" will be covered at the event?

Bitcoin only! This is a BTC-only conference. Please stay focused and on topic at the event. Save conversations about other protocols and cryptocurrencies for outside of the conference.

Who will be Speaking at Bitcoin 2022?

We anticipate the final lineup of speakers to include hundreds of world class experts, professionals and leaders contributing to the Bitcoin ecosystem. You can track the running list of confirmed speakers over on the Bitcoin 2022 Speakers page.

I’m new to Bitcoin. Will there be workshops to learn about Bitcoin?

Yes, Bitcoin 2022 will offer a track of Bitcoin 101 content for folks new to the bitcoin space.

Getting Involved

Are there opportunities to be an affiliate or volunteer?

Yes! We’d love to have you as an affiliate to promote the event or as a volunteer to help welcome attendees to Miami.

How can I connect to attendees at the Conference?

For obvious privacy reasons, we never share Bitcoin 2022 Attendee data. The best way to connect with other Bitcoiners is to attend the conference and meet them in person! If you are a professional in the bitcoin ecosystem, you will find additional opportunities to network during our industry specific programming and might find additional value in buying an Industry Pass.

Tickets & Travel

Will there be reserved seating at Bitcoin 2022 Events & Presentations?

No. Seating is first-come-first-serve at the conference. There will be a reserved seating area for Whale Pass holders during the conference.

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

Yes, however, you must edit your order information and reassign your ticket to someone else’s name and email address. This does not remove the ticket from your Tixr account, but the new attendee will receive an email prompting them to claim tickets when you save the change.

How do I request a refund?

Bitcoin 2022 event passes are non-refundable. You are able to transfer your ticket to another Bitcoiner via the Tixr App or website. If you require assistance with transferring please complete our Contact Form and a member of our team will reach out.

Does a Whale Pass include a +1?

No. Each Whale Pass is valid for one (1) individual entry to Bitcoin 2022 Conference events (including Whale Night).

Can I bring children/young people to the conference?

Yes! Bitcoin 2022 is for all ages and we highly encourage young people to participate in Hyperbitcoinization. Children under the age of 6 can attend at no cost. Discount Tickets for students are available upon request. Please complete the Contact Form and a member of our team will reach out.

Pre-Conference Checklist

How much BTC should I bring with me?

Just enough for “spending money”. We don't recommend bringing large amounts of bitcoin with you to the event. Unfortunately, there can be bad actors whose sole purpose is to steal your hard-earned BTC. That said, everything will be Bitcoin enabled, so download your favorite Lightning wallet and top off with what you plan to use at the conference.

Should I bring my backpack or laptop?

We don't recommend bringing large bags or backpacks to the event, as all bags will be checked by security before entering the venue and may slow down the entry process.

Can I bring a weapon or firearms on site?

No. Bitcoin 2022 has a no firearms policy inside the venue. Miami PD will be the only personnel with firearms onsite.

Can I bring a camera?

Bitcoin 2022 will have attendees of all ages. Please be mindful of those around you! Additionally, please be thoughtful of photography and use of cellphone cameras, as not everyone will want to be included in photos. If you're extremely interested in privacy, wear a privacy mask

Can I bring my dog (pet)?

Only service animals are permitted during the event days.

Will there be alcohol for purchase?

Yes, there will be alcohol on site for purchase. Know how to HODL your alcohol. If you get intoxicated and cause problems, security will kindly ask you to leave the premises.
