What is Bitcoin 2023?

Industry Day is hosted on May 18, 2023, accessible to Industry and Whale Pass holders. The GA main conference days are on May 19 and 20, 2023.

What time do doors open?

Doors open at 8 a.m. each day. On day one, you'll receive your admission wristband. Keep this wristband on for the entirety of the conference! If you lose your wristband, you'll be required to purchase another ticket in order to enter. If you wish to cut your wristband off (or it falls off), we will provide you with another wristband as long as you physically have the old wristband in hand.

What are the event hours of the conference?

Doors open at 8 a.m. each day. The event hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 18, 19 and 20, 2023. Pre-registration days and time will be announced closer to the event.

When is Bitcoin 2023 Pre-registration to claim my wristband?

Bitcoin 2023 Pre-registration is scheduled for attendees to pick up wristbands and enter the Conference through the fast lane on the Conference days.

Pre-registration Day 1 is Wednesday May 17, 2023 at 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. (for Industry and Whale Pass attendees only)

Pre-registration Day 2 is Thursday May 18, 2023 at 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. (for GA Pass attendees)

Which "cryptocurrencies" will be covered at the event?

Bitcoin only! This is a BTC-only conference. Please stay focused and on topic at the event. Save conversations about other protocols and cryptocurrencies for outside of the conference.

Can I bring children to the conference?

Yes! Bitcoin 2023 is for all ages and we highly encourage young people to participate in Hyperbitcoinization. Children up to age 7 can attend for free. Discount tickets for students are available upon request with a student email address here or guardians can inquire on the contact form.

What are your COVID-19 protocols?

We are hopeful that travel restrictions to the United States will be lifted prior to the Conference. We do not require attendees to provide any personal medical information. Guests who do not feel well or comfortable attending an event with tens of thousands of people are strongly encouraged to stay home and watch the livestream online.

I’m new to Bitcoin. Will there be workshops to learn about Bitcoin?

Yes, Bitcoin 2023 will offer a track of Bitcoin 101 content for folks new to the bitcoin space. A GA Pass is recommended for general admissions access to main conference days of May 19 and 20th, 2023. To get started with Bitcoin education, visit this page.

Celebrate with thousands of attendees at the official Bitcoin 2023 After Party on Saturday, May 20th. Tickets are sold separately. When you register, you'll receive a confirmation receipt and the ticket QR code will be sent closer to the event date. How can I pay with Bitcoin for a ticket at checkout?

Add your ticket(s) and any other items to cart, then select 'Checkout'. On the checkout page, you can select the preferred method of payment as Bitcoin with IBEX. The next screen shows the QR code and Bitcoin address to send funds for your transaction. You can choose to pay via Bitcoin On-chain or Lightning payment by sending Bitcoin to the respective QR code or BTC address. My ticket was purchased with Bitcoin and I did not receive a ticket. What can I do?

Your transaction on the blockchain serves as confirmation for Bitcoin 2023. An email receipt and a second email for the ticket is sent from Tixr to the purchaser. If you do not receive a ticket within the hour, please reach out with the registered email address to tickets@btcmedia.org or the contact form.

Can I purchase a single-day ticket?

Bitcoin 2023 Conference has three types of passes available at checkout. Industry and Whale Pass holders have access to all three days of the conference including Industry Day on May 18, 2023. How can I get a Student ticket for Bitcoin 2023?

Students can request to purchase a ticket by submitting the “Student GA Pass” form with an active student email address on the Get Involved page. For further assistance with student clubs or group purchases, please submit your request to tickets@btcmedia.org.

What type of payments are accepted to buy a ticket?

You can buy a ticket with dollars at checkout using a credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover), or pay with Bitcoin (BTC) via IBEX checkout to send funds from your Bitcoin On-chain or Lightning Network address. Other options include Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal or a payment plan with Afterpay for transactions over $2,000.

What is Industry Day and how can I participate?

Industry Day at Bitcoin 2023 is on May 18, 2023 for Industry and Whale Pass holders only. This day is dedicated to financial institutions, enterprise business, and startups. GA Pass holders can request a pass upgrade by emailing the Ticketing team at tickets@btcmedia.org.

How do I request a refund?

Will there be reserved seating at Bitcoin 2023 Events & Presentations?

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

Yes. You are able to update the first, last name on your Tixr account and download the ticket QR code or view the receipt. The access to Tixr account is with the email address used for the ticket purchase. For additional support, please email tickets@btcmedia.org.

Does a Whale Pass include a +1?

No. Each Whale Pass is currently valid for one (1) individual entry to Bitcoin 2023 Conference events (including Whale Night) and there are no +1s.

Yes, an open room is available on the venue's second floor in Room #221. Kindly note, this room is reserved for a private event on Friday May 19, 2023 from 12:50 p.m. to 2:10 p.m. EST, and available before or after, for the duration of the Conference.

Is there a baby nursing area for mothers at the venue?

Yes, there is a dedicated room for nursing mothers on the second floor of the venue, in Room #220. The location can be accessed in the Event App map, accessible to attendees.

Where do I pick up the T-shirt I bought with my ticket?

You must pick up your merchandise package at the Bitcoin Magazine Store on-site during the Conference. Note, this merchandise ticket(s) does not grant entry or admission to the Conference.

How can I network with other guests at Bitcoin 2023?

Bitcoin 2023 Event App is a great way to connect with attendees at the event. There are also many activations and meetup areas for people to connect during the main conference Days 1 and 2 (May 19 - 20, 2023). Industry Pass holders have access to Industry and Mining Lounge throughout the Conference days to network with other Industry guests. Whale Pass holders have the same benefit with additional private areas in the Deep and Whale Night to network with Whales.

How can I access the Bitcoin 2023 Event App?

When is the Bitcoin 2023 Event App released?

The Event App will be released closer to the event for Attendees to join with an invitation email. The App is only available to Bitcoin 2023 participants as a one-stop hub for networking, tracking the schedule and engage with event activations.

Pre-Conference CheckList

How much BTC should I bring with me?

Just enough for “spending money”. We don't recommend bringing large amounts of bitcoin with you to the event. Unfortunately, there can be bad actors whose sole purpose is to steal your hard-earned BTC. That said, everything will be Bitcoin enabled, so download your favorite Lightning wallet and top off with what you plan to use at the conference.

Can I bring a weapon or firearms on site?

No. Bitcoin 2023 has a no firearms policy inside the venue. Miami PD will be the only personnel with firearms onsite.

Will there be alcohol for purchase?

Yes, there will be alcohol on site for purchase (ID required). Know how to HODL your alcohol. If you get intoxicated and cause problems, security will kindly ask you to leave the premises.

Can I bring my dog or pet to the Conference?

Only service animals are permitted at the Conference venue, in compliance with ADA regulations.

Can I bring a camera?

Bitcoin 2023 will have attendees of all ages. Please be mindful of those around you! Additionally, please be thoughtful of photography and use of cellphone cameras, as not everyone will want to be included in photos. If you're extremely interested in privacy, wear a privacy mask

Should I bring my backpack or laptop?

We don't recommend bringing large bags or backpacks to the event, as all bags will be checked by security before entering the venue and may slow down the entry process.
