What is Bitcoin 2020?
Bitcoin 2020 is the annual event for the Bitcoin community. It is a collaborative gathering of old and new friends and a chance to refocus on the technical challenges and innovative opportunities facing the world’s original cryptocurrency. Bitcoin can mean many different things to many different people, but at Bitcoin 2020 the focus is on Nakamoto Consensus, the original model laid out by Bitcoin’s pseudonymous creator.
Who will attend Bitcoin 2020?
Bitcoin 2020 is open to all of those who want to collaborate and innovate toward Bitcoin’s future. A decade since its inception, the Bitcoin community has become fraught with mutually exclusive perspectives and divided by ideological lines in the sand. Bitcoin 2020 is the chance to check your baggage at the door and explore opportunities to move Bitcoin forward on common ground. This event is only about Bitcoin (BTC)
Is there an age requirement for Bitcoin 2020?
There is no age limit for attending the conference, but we will be checking IDs at the door for access to the rooftop bar.
What is the recommended conference attire?
We want Bitcoin 2020 attendees to come as they are. There is no dress code and we seek to cultivate a casual and welcoming environment reminiscent of the Bitcoin 2013 and Bitcoin 2014 conferences.

What are the registration fees for the event?

What types of payment are accepted for Bitcoin 2020 registration?
You can pay in USD through Eventbrite or use OpenNode for bitcoin and Lightning Network payments.
Are there any ticket discounts I should know about?
What is included in the registration fee?
Your registration fee for a full conference pass at Bitcoin 2020 entitles you to:
-Full access to both days of general sessions
-Networking events
-A conference badge and accompanying swag
Is there a deadline for registration?
No, there’s no deadline. You can register online through the days of the conference. However, discounts are not accepted up to seven days before the event.
Will there be onsite registration?
Yes, onsite registration will be available upon entry.
Can I be denied registration for any reason?
While we believe in the inclusive nature of Bitcoin, Bitcoin 2020 reserves the right to deny registration to any individual or entity for any reason at Bitcoin 2020’s sole discretion, including past or present failure to meet Bitcoin 2020 standards of conduct and also including (but not limited to) engaging in violent, illegal, threatening or discriminatory conduct.
Venue FAQ
Will I need a badge to get in?
Yes, a conference wristband is required for entry into the conference and we recommend that you wear it at all times. You’ll be able to pick up your badge at the registration desk during the open registration hours and should be prepared to show identification. If you lose your badge, you may show us your ticket confirmation email for entry.
Do I need a visa to attend the conference?
We recommend checking in advance with your country's local U.S. consulate for details and requirements.
How do I obtain a visa invitation letter?
If you are interested in attending Bitcoin 2020 but feel you will need a visa invitation letter to do so, please contact us here.
Will there be food and beverage available at Bitcoin 2020?
Yes, food and beverage will be available for purchase through fiat and/or BTC at our venue's rooftop beer garden.
Alcoholic beverages will also be available for purchase on the rooftop with a valid photo ID.
Will there be translation services provided at Bitcoin 2020?
Yes, we will provide English to Mandarin translation services.

Is there parking at the event?
Bitcoin 2020 will not be providing any parking for attendees and it’s unlikely that nearby street parking will be available. We recommend ridesharing or taking public transportation to get to our conference.

Can I bring my dog?
While we love your dog, pets are not permitted in our conference venue. Service animals will be admitted.
Will Bitcoin 2020 be handicap accessible?
