Who is Ledn?

Ledn is a technology company with a mission to help people save in bitcoin. Its suite of services is currently comprised of 3 core products: dollar loans backed by bitcoin (for those that want liquidity but do not want to sell), bitcoin savings account (for those that want to earn an extra yield on their bitcoin), and B2X (a service that doubles the amount of bitcoin through the use of a bitcoin-backed loan). Ledn has built a technology and operational stack that allows for real-time proof of bitcoin reserves, on-chain, which provides unprecedented transparency for bitcoin financial services.

What am I like?

Bitcoin is a fast-moving space - having the ability to remain calm in stressful situations is important. We are all owners at Ledn, both in how we act and in our economics (every role has an equity component). As such, the candidate has to be willing to jump in to collaborate with all people in Ledn as required. They will need to have exceptional communication skills (verbally and written), problem solving ability and be a quick learner. All of our team members are expected to take on radical responsibility and autonomy.

What will I do?

We build software in an agile manner deploying to production often. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our client and administration web applications. We are focused on business automation and improved user journey. Obsession with security is paramount and we are always looking to improve and close any gaps. You will work with the broader team to strategize and implement technical solutions to grow and advance the business. Finally, mobile development, particularly with React Native, is an asset as we expand our offering to mobile (iOS and Android).

What is my experience?

Experience working in a Agile startup environment is an asset. You will have ownership of the company and as such, we expect the successful candidate to treat the applications as their own.

Good understanding of application infrastructure (serverless) and continuous development is key to being in position to succeed in the role. Working knowledge of blockchain technology is another important aspect to successfully manage and enhance business operations. Test-driven development knowledge OSCP, CISSP or equivalent security certificate

What do I need to know?

A desire to learn about Bitcoin (prior knowledge would be a plus but don't worry, you don't have to be an OG). At Ledn you will learn first-hand about Bitcoin and what it enables. Software engineering best practices (i.e. code review) is essential to ensure we can scale efficiently.

We develop software using agile methodology so it’s important to be able to develop working code quickly that is up to standards and well tested. Knowing how to be a team player is the most important aspect of the role which has been a major factor to our success.
