What you'll be doing

• Draft and negotiate commercial transactions (confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, MOUs, consulting agreements, etc.) with counterparties, customers, vendors and contractors
• Review and revise global marketing materials in collaboration with our Marketing and PR colleagues
• Work directly with internal business units providing day-to-day advice and resolving issues that arise, including our global Customer support team (CCX)
• Manage, maintain and revise all company legal templates and policies to ensure the business remains compliant and efficient
• Manage user-facing legal issues, including compliance, Terms of Service violations, subpoena requests and other operational needs
• Provide on-going legal counseling in intellectual property, data protection and security, labor and employment, general corporate and regulatory compliance
• Provide Estonian corporate secretarial coverage including preparation and maintenance of  corporate documents such as meeting minutes, resolutions, bylaws and entity formation and structuring for our Estonian entities
• Develop and manage client relationships within a high-energy, fast-paced, team-oriented environment while contributing to and fostering positive team morale and collaboration
• Coordinate with US-based Legal team members to ensure goals and work product are aligned with overall strategy

What we are looking for

• Minimum 3 years’ experience with a prominent law firm and/or in-house corporate department of  an international organization
• Licensed to practice law in Estonia
• Experience with cross-border/international work, capable of covering a range of issues across our global offices and multiple time zones
• Demonstrated track record of providing strategic direction around multiple projects and with competing priorities
• Excellent contract and document drafting demonstrating an exceptional level of business savvy and sophistication
• Juris doctor (US) or Master’s Degree in Law with strong academic credentials from a respected ABA (US) or locally accredited institution
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment
• Unwavering attention to detail and accuracy with uncompromising honesty and integrity
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence
• Fluency in Estonian and/or Russian and full working proficiency in English

Great if you have

• Interest in cryptocurrency and/or peer-to-peer finance experience
• Experience with an in-house technology (e.g. website based platforms) and product development experience
• International operations experience
