Operational Risk Officer

The successful candidate will report to the Operational Risk & Control Manager.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Daily execution and follow-up of the operational risk control activities
• Execution of operational process reviews to identify and measure associated risks, both for internal and outsourced functions
• Keeping business aware of risk identification and control weaknesses
• Proactively identifying and driving improvement efforts to increase control effectiveness
• Assistance in the roll-out of risk awareness training
• Implementation of internal controls and outsourcing monitoring
• Promotion of internal standards, regulatory requirements and good practices
• Reporting of findings to the management and recommendations of appropriate mitigating actions, as well as implementation timescales
• Promotion of risk-aware culture, ensuring efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to standards and processes

Required qualifications, skills and experience:

• 3+ years of experience in risk management
• Good understanding of the applicable regulatory framework
• Knowledge of operational risk and process control
• Ability to prioritize tasks
• Creative thinking
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Fluency in English language
• Knowledge of the blockchain and virtual currency environment is an asset
